Meet the OrthodontistDr. Williams received his undergraduate and dental degrees from the University of Pittsburgh, and he completed a two year residency in Orthodontics at the University of Oregon. After graduate school, Dr. Williams served for six years as a Major in the US Army on Okinawa, and in Augsburg, Germany. He was Chief of the Orthodontic Service, and he established the first Children’s Dental Clinic in Germany for which he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal.
After he and his family moved to Baltimore in 1977, he taught full-time in the Orthodontic Department of the University of Maryland Dental School for five years. These include the Board of Directors of the Baltimore City Dental Society; President of the Maryland State Society of Orthodontists; and Secretary of the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, where he currently serves as Editor of the Journal.
He has also served as an Assistant Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, and District Chairman for the Boy Scouts of America. He holds the rank of Eagle Scout, and during his tenure as Scoutmaster he assisted twenty-one boys in achieving that rank.
